Never has a "Scrapbook discounters, but my experience is with scrapbooking supplies.
Craft stores (Michaels, ACMoores RagShop, etc.) are always cheaper than retail. Forever. Check the clearance aisles. All Michaels Stores, I have the guestbook on my order was all the time, that we can save a bundle. Also look for sales. I guarantee you ACMoores Michaels and sale of Easter in the next week or so. Check the ads and know the general price of the supplies.
Wal-Mart (and Target) is often more expensive than in the craft stores and scrapbooking are usually selected terribly small.
You can also use sites like E-bay for people who sell their hiding place. Sometimes you can get good deals on large lots, but keep an eye on the cost of delivery.
